FAQ ABOUT 14U SEASON

TIME COMMITMENT:

The season typically begins in January and runs until mid-April, with the Provincial Championships.

Teams practice twice for 90 minutes per session,  and play approximately 2-6 tournaments throughout the season; depending on the team.

TOURNAMENTS:

Volleyball BC has not released their schedule yet, but tournaments take place in Vancouver, the Island and the Interior.

COST:

First, team fees will be between $500 and $800, depending on the number of tournaments entered.

This includes:

• Volleyball BC Membership

• Tournament Fees

• Gym Rentals

• Equipment

• Volleyball Kit (Jersey, Warm-up Shirts and Hoodie)

Any tournaments entered and costs associated will be paid by each team member. Expenses such as hotel, transportation (ferry and gas), food and coach’s expenses (hotel, food, ferry, gas) are to be paid equally by the team.

TEAM SELECTION:

Athletes will be offered a position on a team personally at tryouts, or be contacted via email and/or phone within 24-48 hours of the last tryout. Once an athlete accepts their spot on the team, the Club will email you more information about training schedules, payment, registration, etc. Team lists will also be posted on the SCVC website as soon as teams are finalized.

Sometimes there are delays in confirming teams. This is a result of having to wait for athlete’s commitment. We appreciate your patience during this time and we will always expedite the process to the best of our ability.
